Strawberry Mocha Smoothie

I’m enjoying this beautiful Sunday afternoon in my part of the country, chillaxin’ with this delicious, coffee-infused smoothie as I listen to smooth jazz, flip through cookbooks and become better acquainted with my Nikon (I’ve vowed to only post iPhone pics here as a last resort).
Yep, I’m getting my caffeine buzz on before I go into my kitchen to figure out how to transform this lovely, super sweet Taiwan melon (aka Golden Honey Kiss) that I picked up at the Asian market yesterday. Just thought I’d share this recipe with you guys right quick. I drink these about two or three time a week (sans the coffee sometimes) as a healthy alternative to satisfy my sweet tooth or whenever I need a quick lift. Strawberry Mocha Smoothie Recipe

Serves 1 to 2 | Vegan
Mise en place:
2 cups almond milk, very cold
1/2 cup ice water
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
2 tablespoons cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon instant coffee granuals
1 1/2 cups strawberries, frozen
1 tablespoon agave (or sweetner of your choice to taste)
Blend all ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately or chill in the freezer for about 20 minutes. The colder, the better. Enjoy!
